'cause it wasn't about me

what others want to see

their own fallacies

a thousand times to be

a wasted legacy

to a disappointed sea

whispering to me

this isn't how it should be

this isn't who i should be

a failure at being me

because potentially

there's so much more to me

then the failure that we see

never will i be
